The United States experienced its hottest March on record, with average temperatures soaring to 50.85°F, exceeding the 20th-century average by more than 9°F, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This unprecedented heatwave led to the shattering of over 12,000 daily heat records and more than 2,500 monthly records. Ten states reported their warmest March in 131 years, underscoring the severity and breadth of the early-season heat.
