Over 60% of US faces drought
The United States is currently grappling with a widespread drought affecting over 60% of the country, reminiscent of the severe drought experienced in 2012. States such as Colorado, Utah, Georgia, Florida, and Texas are particularly hard-hit, with the Southeast region from Virginia to Alabama also experiencing abnormally dry conditions. In Texas, the most critical drought conditions are found from Northeast Texas to the lower Valley.
