India is proactively implementing a comprehensive strategy to protect its farmers from the increasing impacts of climate change. This initiative, driven by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, includes climate risk assessment, the development of climate-resilient crops, efficient water management practices, capacity building, and the establishment of financial safeguards.
