US · Published Apr 6, 2026
The Bay Area is experiencing cooler temperatures and increased cloud cover due to a surge of cold marine air.
Coastal areas like Pacifica and Half Moon Bay will be mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s, and a chance of drizzle, especially around Daly City.
The pattern of cooler, moist air is expected to persist throughout the week, with potential for light rain or drizzle, especially in the mornings.
Cold marine air ends warm spell
The Bay Area is undergoing a significant weather shift as cold marine air moves onshore, ending the recent warm spell. Temperatures that had soared into the 70s and 80s over the weekend have now dropped, with coastal areas like Pacifica and Half Moon Bay experiencing mostly cloudy conditions and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. A west wind of 10 to 20 mph is contributing to the cooler climate, and there's a possibility of drizzle, particularly around Daly City.
