Early spring system brings snow, rain to California
An early spring weather system is set to bring varied conditions to California. The Sierra Nevada is preparing for snow, while Los Angeles is expecting light rain. According to the National Weather Service, the Tahoe region will experience two waves of precipitation. The first wave, starting on Monday and lasting into Tuesday evening, could bring up to two inches of snow near Mammoth. A second, more intense system originating from Alaska is forecasted to arrive between Wednesday and Thursday, potentially dropping up to a foot of snow on the highest peaks in the Tahoe basin. Areas outside the highest peaks could see 2 to 5 inches of snow, and Lake Tahoe might receive up to 3 inches.
