Additionally, a high wind warning is in effect for Kauaʻi and Oʻahu until Friday morning. Heavy rain and strong gusty winds are expected to impact the islands, with Kauaʻi receiving the initial impact before the storm moves over west Oʻahu. Emergency officials are closely monitoring the situation, hoping the storm will dissipate before reaching Maui and Hawaiʻi Island.
