North Texas to Experience Midweek Warmup Following Wet Mother's Day
US · Published May 11, 2026
North Texas is set to experience a shift in weather conditions following a rainy Mother's Day, during which radar data indicated some areas received over 3 inches of rainfall.
Monday has started on a much drier note, with only a slim 10% chance of showers, primarily south and east of the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area.
The day is expected to be partly cloudy with temperatures ranging from the 50s to 60s °F (10-20°C).

Why It's Important?

The reduced chance of rain and lower humidity levels are expected to provide relief to residents after the heavy rainfall over the weekend. However, areas south and east of DFW may still experience isolated showers. The shift to drier conditions should mitigate risks of flooding or waterlogging in the region, but residents in areas that received significant rainfall should remain cautious of residual wet conditions.
