The National Weather Service reported that the tornado unleashed peak winds of approximately 150 miles per hour, carving a path of destruction spanning over 36 miles and reaching a width of more than 3,000 feet. The storm's impact was particularly severe in Aroma Park, where a resident was found deceased in a severely damaged home. This fatality marks the third death associated with the recent severe weather events in the region, with 11 additional injuries reported in Kankakee County alone.
