Why It's Important?

The availability of near real-time fire data is critical for resource management, emergency response, and environmental monitoring. It helps mitigate risks associated with wildfires by providing timely information on fire locations and intensity. This data is particularly valuable for regions prone to frequent wildfires, such as the western United States and parts of Canada, where rapid response can save lives and reduce property damage.
