The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for heavy rainfall across several regions of India.
A Low-Pressure Area persists over central Uttar Pradesh, while a Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation is active over Jammu & Kashmir.

Impact & Risks

Heavy rainfall in the northeastern states could lead to waterlogging, road disruptions, and other weather-related issues. Central and West India may also face localised flooding and travel disruptions due to persistent rain. Thunderstorms and gusty winds in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Karnataka could pose risks to outdoor activities and infrastructure. Fishermen in these regions are advised to exercise caution due to strong surface winds.
