Hurricane Genevieve is currently located far from land, approximately 530 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. While no immediate land impacts are expected, the storm's gradual weakening will reduce the likelihood of significant hazards. However, mariners in the eastern Pacific should remain cautious as the storm continues to produce strong winds and rough seas. The NHC advises that the system will likely lose its tropical characteristics by August 2, 2026.
