• Weather officials report that heat index values are expected to range between 100°F and 105°F (37.8°C to 40.6°C) across northern and central Cook County, as well as DuPage, DeKalb, Lake, Kane, Boone, Ogle, Winnebago, McHenry, and Lee counties. Current conditions at Midway Airport and O’Hare International Airport are mostly cloudy with temperatures at 86°F (30°C). Thunderstorms are possible later in the evening, with a 30% chance of precipitation as temperatures drop to the mid-70s (23-24°C).
