• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on 30 October 2026, forecasting spells of rain, thunderstorms, and lightning.
• Overnight showers have already brought cooler temperatures to the region, with Delhi's Safdarjung weather station recording a maximum temperature of 25.4°C, which is 5.6°C below normal.

Impact & Risks

The IMD warns of minor traffic disruptions due to water accumulation in low-lying areas and roads. There is an increased risk of vehicle accidents, especially in areas prone to waterlogging. Residents are advised to check traffic conditions before travelling and avoid areas with known waterlogging issues. The cooler temperatures may also signal the early onset of winter in the region.
