• Delhi's air quality has improved marginally, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 185 at 9 am on Saturday, October
• This marks a shift to the 'moderate' category after three consecutive days of 'poor' air quality. The 24-hour average AQI was 230 on Friday at 4 pm, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The improvement in air quality comes as the city also experienced a slight dip in minimum temperature. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast partly cloudy skies for the next few days, indicating stable weather conditions.

Impact & Risks

The improvement in air quality to the 'moderate' category is a positive development for Delhi residents, particularly those sensitive to air pollution. However, an AQI of 185 still poses moderate health risks, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions. The slight temperature dip may also affect comfort levels for some residents.
