The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for heavy to very heavy rainfall across several regions of India on Tuesday.
Areas such as Konkan and Goa, Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch are expected to experience very heavy rainfall at isolated locations.

Impact & Risks

The heavy rainfall could lead to localised flooding, waterlogging, and disruptions in daily life, particularly in urban areas like Delhi and Mumbai. Regions such as Odisha, Gujarat, and Konkan may face risks of landslides in hilly terrains and damage to infrastructure. Thunderstorms and gusty winds could pose risks to outdoor activities and weak structures. Agricultural activities may also be impacted in areas experiencing prolonged rainfall. The IMD has advised caution in regions prone to lightning and strong winds.
