• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for heavy to very heavy rainfall across various regions of India on Saturday.
• The affected areas include northwest, central, eastern, northeastern, western, and peninsular regions.

Impact & Risks

The forecasted heavy rainfall poses risks of waterlogging, flooding, and traffic disruptions in vulnerable areas. Delhi and the National Capital Region have already experienced severe waterlogging, with South Delhi's MB Road witnessing water levels rising to nearly four feet. Vehicles were stranded, and traffic movement was severely affected. Other regions, including Odisha, Bihar, and northeastern states, may face similar challenges. Fishermen operating near the coasts of Oman, Karnataka, and Kerala are at risk due to rough sea conditions.
