Police chiefs from seven western states and Union Territories in India have developed a joint strategy to tackle cybercrime, drug cartels, and organized crime.
The 13th Western Regional Police Coordination Committee meeting, held in Indore on August 8, 2026, was chaired by Madhya Pradesh DGP Kailash Makwana.

Impact & Risks

The collaborative approach aims to strengthen law enforcement across state borders, addressing critical issues like drug trafficking and cybercrime. This initiative could lead to more effective crime prevention and improved public safety. However, the success of this strategy depends on seamless coordination and resource sharing among the participating states and UTs.
