The flash floods have affected nearly 3 lakh people across 244 villages in five blocks of Kalahandi district. Floodwaters have disrupted road communication and entered residential areas, displacing hundreds of residents. Emergency response teams have rescued 293 people and provided food supplies. Health concerns have also arisen, with 16 snake-bite cases and 107 cases of acute diarrhoeal disease reported. The IMD has issued 'orange' and 'yellow' warnings for various districts, indicating the potential for further heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds.
