The IMD has issued a low to moderate flash flood risk for watersheds in east Madhya Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh, including cities like Jabalpur, Rewa, Prayagraj, and Mirzapur. Saturated soils and low-lying areas may experience surface runoff and inundation. Extremely heavy rainfall exceeding 20 cm has already been recorded in isolated areas of Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Gangetic West Bengal, which could lead to localised flooding and disruptions in these regions.
