• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall, accompanied by intense downpours and gusty winds, in four eastern Telangana districts—Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, and Mahbubabad—until 29 October
• Moderate rain with isolated heavy spells is expected in Warangal, Peddapalli, Mancherial, and Karimnagar. Hyderabad and western districts, including Rangareddy, Sangareddy, and Vikarabad, are likely to experience light, isolated showers as the weather system moves away from the coast. Minimum temperatures in the region have dipped, with Medak recording the lowest at 18.8°C.

Impact & Risks

The heavy rainfall in eastern Telangana could lead to localised flooding, waterlogging, and disruptions in daily activities. Gusty winds may pose risks to weak structures and trees. Moderate rain in other districts may cause minor inconveniences. Hyderabad is expected to experience relatively mild weather, with occasional showers and breezy conditions.
