The IMD has highlighted a low to moderate risk of flash floods in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. Saturated soils and low-lying areas in these regions may experience runoff, inundation, and localised flooding. Farmers are advised to prepare for potential waterlogging, which could impact agricultural activities. Urban areas may also face disruptions due to heavy rainfall, particularly in regions with poor drainage systems. Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand face a low flash flood risk as well.
