The primary risks from Tropical Storm Bertha include heavy rainfall, flash flooding, and storm surge. The NHC has issued a Storm Surge Watch from the Alabama-Florida border to the mouth of the Mississippi River, warning of water levels rising 2-4 feet above normally dry ground. Urban and low-lying areas are particularly vulnerable to flash flooding. Additionally, isolated tornadoes and tropical-storm-force winds are expected along portions of the northern Gulf Coast through Wednesday.
