• Coordinated rainwater management and groundwater recharge are critical for the city’s resilience.

Flood Vulnerability and Hotspots in Gurgaon

Flooding in Gurgaon is not uniform across the city. Recurring hotspots are concentrated around major transport corridors, mixed-use centres, older settlements, and low-lying areas linked to the Badshapur drain and Najafgarh basin. The city has identified 159 waterlogging-prone locations, with some areas experiencing waterlogging for up to three days. Coordinated action on drainage and groundwater recharge is essential to address these challenges.
