The Ministry of Tourism outlines the traditional sequence of Chhath Puja as Nahay Khay, Lohanda or Kharna, Sandhya Arghya, and Usha Arghya. Nahay Khay marks the beginning with ritual bathing and home cleaning. Lohanda or Kharna involves an evening offering of kheer and fruits.
