Wildfires are raging across Georgia, fueled by severe drought conditions and exacerbated by strong winds. As of April 23rd, nearly 90 homes have been destroyed, primarily in Brantley County, where a major fire has consumed over 5,000 acres. Containment efforts are underway, but over 1,000 homes remain threatened, prompting Governor Brian Kemp to declare a state of emergency.
